Ensuring the safety of lone workers with an innovative mobile app from young Kiwi entrepreneur Boyd Peacock.

The Brief

The vision for GetHomeSafe included two "guardian angel" personal safety mobile apps targeted at commercial and public audiences alike. The app is a self-monitoring solution to give you peace of mind knowing your friends or team are OK. With recent health and safety changes the need for a robust and reliable way to monitor staff, especially lone or remote workers, has never been more in demand. The Firebrand team were tasked with developing a beautiful app, brand and website alongside an innovative marketing strategy.

The Solution

Firebrand's full-service offering included the custom design and development of the GetHomeSafe app (available on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store), a responsive website and branding. We've been working on some exciting developments including a call center feature, live dashboard viewing via a web portal and SpotNZ integration which uses one of the newest mobile satellite networks in the industry. GetHomeSafe was recently certified as a cloud service provider to the New Zealand government and we are excited to be shareholders and service providers for this innovative product.

The Result

Since its launch, GetHomeSafe has onboarded over 14000 users and 450 organisations. The corporate app is being used in the UK, US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The app has been taken up by big global companies such as Schneider Electric, operating worldwide with many remote teams. Within New Zealand, industries such as tourism, agriculture, healthcare and construction are benefiting from the enhanced safety the app provides their workers.
