Mornington Taphouse
The historic Mornington Tavern rebrands to Mornington Taphouse, along with a sleek new website to bring the new brands to life.
The Brief
Leonie and Murdoch from the Mornington Tavern came to Firebrand seeking the creation of a modern website and branding for their latest project, a stunning new eatery and functions space at their 36 Mailer Street address. Leonie had a clear vision for the refurbishment of the space, as well as the branding and website to compliment it. Three sub-brands were needed, one for each space - Kitchen & Bar, Sports Bar and Functions to go alongside the main Mornington Taphouse brand. The website would be a reflection of the four brands, their beautifully updated interiors and the fantastic new menus.
The Solution
The Mornington Taphouse and the venues it encompasses represent a modern twist on warm, comforting hospitality - a place where you will always feel welcome.Firebrand created new logos and a website that embody the environment and personality that Murdoch and Leonie have created, timeless style with classic charm, the logos were created to be used across merchandise, signage, menus, advertising and glassware so simplicity and an element of uniformity were key. The hops used on the Taphouse brand pay homage to the brew that brings people together whilst adding a touch of whimsy with its botanical feel. The website is rich in imagery taking the user on a visual journey, with clear, readable content and simple navigation.
The Result
Firebrand created a polished website and branding that reflects the high level of service and quality that the Mornington Taphouse provides its guests. Firebrand was honoured to work alongside Leonie and Murdoch as their digital and design partners through this transformative process.
